Infaque v26.6.2 - New Payment Method Introduced (PAD)
Product update
Version 26.6.2 is now available!
At Infaque, we're committed to continuously enhancing your experience with every update.
What's New in Infaque v26.6.2 – Release Notes:
Infaque now supports Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) as a payment method for donations. PAD allows donors to authorize one-time or recurring contributions directly from their bank accounts. This release introduces the full PAD payment lifecycle, from form configuration through the Admin side, across both donor-facing and admin flows.
Key highlights of this release include (Admin Side):
PAD Configuration in Donation Form:
- Admins can control PAD availability on a Donation form via the donation form configuration from the Admin side;
- A new PAD toggle is available on Screen 3 of the donation form
- PAD is disabled by default; admins can enable or disable it as needed
- Stripe and PayPal remain the default active payment options and are not affected by PAD configuration
Thank You Screen Configuration for PAD:
when PAD is the selected payment method, the Thank You screen automatically appends a PAD-specific note. No additional configuration is required from the admin.
The Infaque automatically appends: "Your payment is still pending. You will receive a confirmation email once it has been approved."
Transaction Management — Status Lifecycle:
PAD transactions flow through three statuses in the transaction table, providing full visibility into the payment state
- Pending — transaction is recorded immediately upon donor submission and awaits bank confirmation
- Approved — status is updated once the bank confirms the payment
- Failed — status is updated if the bank declines or cannot process the payment
- Transactions with no bank response remain in Pending status indefinitely
- All three statuses (Pending, Approved, Failed) are available as filter options in the transaction table
- Failed transactions are visible in the transaction table and the Donor's Profile alongside Pending and Approved transactions
- In the donor's profile, full transparency is provided for the transaction, be it PayPal, PAD, or Stripe donations
New Email Template: Payment Processing Notification:
A new system email template has been created for the PAD payment processing notification sent to donors upon submission.
- The email is triggered automatically upon PAD payment submission
Contribution Email and Tax Receipt on Approval:
When a PAD transaction is approved, the Infaque triggers the standard contribution workflow.
- The contribution email is sent to the donor upon payment approval
- Tax receipt is generated and included with the contribution email
Donor-Facing Features for PAD:
Donors can now select PAD as a payment method on both Classic and Time-Bound donation forms, where the option has been enabled by the Admin.
- PAD is available as a selectable payment method on Classic donation and Time-Bound donation forms
- PAD can be selected for one-time donations as well as recurring (daily, monthly, etc.) subscription-based donations
Email Notifications for PAD Transactions:
Donors receive automated email notifications at each stage of the PAD payment lifecycle.
- Payment Processing Confirmation Emails are sent immediately when a PAD donation is submitted, confirming that the payment is being processed
- Contribution Email with Tax Receipt is sent once the payment is approved by the bank
- A payment failure email is sent if the payment is declined or fails; it includes the donation link and full donation details so the donor can retry using an alternative payment method
PAD Transaction Visibility in Self-Service:
Donors can track their PAD transactions — including subscriptions- directly from the Self-Service portal.
- Pending PAD payments are visible in the donor's Self-Service portal with a Pending status
- Status updates in real time: transactions to be approved once the payment clears, or failed if the payment is declined
- For subscription-based donations (daily, monthly, etc.), each instalment displays its current status (Pending, Approved, or Failed)
- Failed transactions are visible in Self-Service alongside Pending and Approved ones
- Status Date is displayed in Self-Service, reflecting when a transaction's status last changed
PayPal Payment Support:
PayPal has been enabled as a payment option alongside Stripe, allowing admins to offer both methods to donors directly on the donation form.
Email Campaign Analytics: Tag-Based Segmentation:
Admins can now break down email campaign delivery statistics by tags, enabling more granular performance analysis across donor group categories. This makes it easier to identify engagement trends, compare results across segments, and make informed decisions about future outreach.
